Igniting a reforestation revolution!

You may have heard of the organisation ‘TreeSisters’, but if you haven’t, allow me to introduce you to a global network of amazing women* aiming to inspire and channel women’s nature-based feminine leadership into local and global action. Specifically, by funding the reforestation of the Tropics. Not ‘planting some trees’, not ‘running a couple of workshops’, but reforesting the Tropics! Working with and empowering women’s groups across the globe to plant One. Million. Trees. A month. Every month. Can you imagine how awesome that is for this beleaguered earth?

They describe their unique focus as “The creation of resources that empower women to step into their nature based feminine leadership, in support of humanity’s identity shift from a consumer species to a restorer species.”

Restoring the watershed of Mt Kenya. Just one of the projects supported by TreeSisters.

Well, combine trees, feminine empowerment, and an outrageously bold goal, and I am just so there. So, by way of adding some support to this incredible organisation I am having a SALE in my Etsy shop, of all my tree-related artworks, and 50% of all proceeds will go directly to TreeSisters. If you go to my Etsy shop sections, and click on the ‘Force of Nature’ sale, that’s where all the trees are. AND, they’re all reduced! Well, it is a sale.

*This is the response I received, within a day, to the question ‘do you include trans women?’:

“At TreeSisters we want to speak to all women who identify as women, regardless of how they were assigned at birth. We also aim to speak to the feminine within all human beings – so much of what we offer and share is also very relevant for people who identify as male, but want to explore how the feminine lives in them. We yearn to create a space where the feminine can thrive, and be reinstated back at the heart of life, within people of all genders.”
